Vintage Schrade Cut Co Hunting Knife Switchblade w/ Jigged Bone
[SCC 1613 3/4]

Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO 1940's (Schrade Hunting Knife) Switchblade with Jigged Bone Handles

In the years following WW2 an increased interest in Paratrooper knives prompted Schrade to make some civilian styled versions of these knives. This model was referred to as Model #1613 3/4. It was the only model with the unique clip point styled blade which was etched "Schrade Hunting Knife".     Measures 4 7/8" closed.  The 3 3/4" Clip point Blade is marked on the tang " SCHRADE CUT. CO.  WALDEN,N.Y." on the front of the tang and "US PATS. DEC. 21,09. SEPT.13,10. JUNE 6,16. " on the backside.

Blade shows obvious pitting marks on both sides that have been polished clean. Blade is full. Jigged Bone Handles show little to no shrinkage with no rivet cracks.  Very nice full handles. Safety works . Blade seats deep in the handle. Action is excellent with up and down blade play. Normally when found these are really beat up because they were heavily used. This is a fine example, better than most! Includes a custom zippered storage pouch. Very Good+ Overall condition. A superb example for your collection.
