Early Production (1980's era) Campolin 45cm/ 17 3/4" Overall Open Italian Made Classic Switchblade with Brazilian Rosewood, Brass Bolsters, and Flat Ground Blade

1980's era piece. The most intimidating and largest of ALL the Italian Made Models,  this "Jumbo"    among the classic switchblades measures a whopping 9 1/4" closed and 17 3/4" overall open. Quality made the traditional way with Old World flair, this model features Brazilian Rosewood Handles   accented with Brass Bolsters and Hardware (Safety, Push Button).

8" Satin Polished Blade (with a "swedge" grind on the top side of the blade) is marked "ROSTFREI" in script on the tang. Some collectors consider these early pieces from this era (1980's), better built than the current models. They were made by the same company (Campolin), (but by different craftsmen),  however they were not marked with the Campolin name, and the individual craftsmen who did these models have now since passed.

New production models with brass are uncommon. Brass lined including the bolsters. Sliding safety with swivel bolster release. Features Superfast action and excellent lockup. One of the most recognized pieces of Americana. Wide Frame design. Superb Handcrafted Quality from Italy.  Hard to find this size. Includes a custom zippered pouch.
