1997 Original Dalton "MILLENNIUM" Front Opener
[DCC-MILLI]

1997 Dalton "MILLENNIUM" Automatic  "Out the Front"

Dalton Knives are made in Kentucky, USA and he is credited with many innovative designs. All Dalton Models were limited in production (most only 100 pieces). Dalton now only makes custom handmades via special order. His more innovative opening designs (such as this model), are considered good investments.

The Dalton "MILLENNIUM" "Out the Front" features a Sliding recocking lever that slides up with the blade when fired. (This is the same mechanism as used on Protech's "Dark Angel" model). This design has also been copied by many other knife companies long before Protech came along including Smith & Wesson, Paragon, and several cheap junker imports which were made to look like the Dalton..Dalton's model was the finest made in our opinion and still remains the best. His superfast action and lockup have made this the most desired among collectors.

Black Anodized Aluminum Handles. The Gray Bead Blast Finished Clip Point blade measures 3 1/2" and features ATS-34 stainless. Dalton logo is located on the front side of the blade. Overall length open is 8 3/8"..Serialized at the base of the handle F00473. Titanium pocket clip on the backside. Opens like a rocket. Locks up like a drum. Measures 5 1/8" closed. Recessed button is the safety. Titanium Pocket clip on the backside.

Hard piece to find. Priced as high as $895 elsewhere. This example is used and shows some  handling marks. Blade has some staining (ATS-34 is stainless, but has a high carbon content and will rust , stain or even pit). Anodized aluminum handles show some scratch marks and handling marks. Still very good overall for a knife that is more than 25 years old. Includes a nylon belt sheath.
