[RE-COCKER]

This Item Has Been Sold!

Extremely Rare Vintage (60's era) Italian Made Front Opener (Auto Open/Gravity Close)  with "Re-cocking Lever"

Features Imitation Black Perlex Handles with Nickel Silver Bolsters. Oddball looking classic with a sliding safety and Re-cocking Lever that is located on the spine and folds back flush with the backspring.

Opens automatically via front opening by pressing on the button located in the center of the handle. (Typically on front opening/gravity close models you must hold the blade downward for it to lock in the open position, otherwise it will "bounce back", this one will lock holding it upward also).

Gravity close by holding the handle upright and while pressing on the button lift up slightly on the re-cocking lever (approx 1/4 of the way up), when the blade falls into the handle release the button; continue carefully lifting up on the recocoking lever until you hear a "click" which means the blade is reset back into the handle. Then close the re-cocking lever by pressing it against the backspring. (The re-cocking mechanism is a "delicate" mechanism; you can't be forceful with it). Once you get the hang of it, it is relatively simple to operate.

Mirror polished stainless blade measures 3 1/2" with a false top "swedge" grind and is marked "ROSTFREI" in script on the front side of the tang and "PATENT" on the backside... Measures 4 3/4" closed. Extremely Rare Piece in excellent to near mint condition. 60's vintage . .Excellent action.

Blade has movement when in the open position, but the lockup is surprisingly good for an early front opening/gravity knife. A "10 out of 10" on AIK's rarity scale. Includes a custom zippered pouch.
