Vintage 50's-60's era ITALIAN Flat Guard Wasp Frame 7 5/8" Open / 19.5cm  (Button Open/Button Close) Classic with Black Buffalo Horn Handles

Very Rare Vintage (50's-60's era), 8 7/8" Overall open Italian Made "Button Lock"  Classic (Push Button Open/Button Close)  with Buffalo Horn Handles. 3 7/8" Flat ground blade

Traditional Sliding Safety (Safety works but is a little loose). Steel Liners. Steel Flat Guard Bolsters. Wasp Body Design. (Frame flares out approx 3/4 of the way down on the handle). "Drop in" kick spring. Nice tight construction.

Not a picklock or swivel bolster design, the Blade opens automatically and closes manually by pressing on the button. (No locking "tab hole" on the backspring like on typical Italians), the blade locks against the backspring. Not many "button locks" were made as the picklock design was a more popular  mechanism. 

Tang is marked "ROSTFREI" on the frontside. Vintage piece from Italy. The WASP Body and Flat Guard Bolsters are much more rare than other button lock models. Overall length open is  7 5/8" or 19.5cm.  Measures 4 1/4" closed. Blade hugs one side of the liners.

Very Good condition, especially for a piece that is more than 50+ years old. Some up/down blade movement in the open position. Action is fair. By no means a hard hitting opener, but a positive opener. Horn is in overall very good condition. These are very hard to find, so it comes recommended for your collection.
