Unique Handmade "Scale Release" DAMASCUS Auto handcrafted by A.A. Sanders of Norman, Oklahoma with Charoite Stone Handles

Al was a specialist in scale release and hidden/discreet opening autos. He is now deceased but made his mark in the knife world (along with Mike Whiskers Allen), in the early-mid 2000's by introducing the first scale release auto that utilized a coil spring. Several other knife makers copied his design as did the Italians (MCM). He never received the recognition he deserved for his contributions to the knife world, but he never did seek it. 

This model operates by sliding the handles (scales) (bottom portion) to the side which activates the internal coil spring. Totally discreet auto action.

Features Unique and Beautiful Charoite Stone Handles with Engraved Stainless Bolsters. Beautifully patterned Polished Damascus Blade with File Work on the blade, and backspring-(both inside and out). Charoite Stone is stunning in color; a lavender color with darker purplish veins throughout. This unique stone originates in Russia and is also referred to as "Russian Lavender". 

Measures 3 7/8" closed. Beautifully patterned Polished 3" Damascus Blade is Razor Sharp. Action is superb and lockup is rock-solid. This is the only Sanders model ever offered with this handle material. Mint Piece. Includes a custom zippered pouch. Beautiful piece for the finest collection.
