Early Butch Vallotton Tactical SERE Liner Lock Auto

Early Tactical BUTCH VALLOTTON Liner Lock AUTO SERE with Micarta and ATS-34 Blade

Butch Vallotton is considered one of the finest automatic knifemakers specializing in double action autos and for converting manual folders into automatic, many that we have offered in the past including the Al Mar SERE, Spyderco Sub-Hilt, and Emerson.

He started making knives full time in 1984, making his first auto in 1987. His assisted knife technology is in current use, or has been used by multiple knife companies including Gerber, & Timberline, and he has worked with Microtech designing the very collectible Chameleon Double Action. He recently passed and will be immensely missed, however his contributions to the Automatic Knife Industry will never be forgotten.

This is an early (mid late 90's era), Heavy Duty SERE Liner Lock Auto which is a combination of his Al Mar SERE Auto and his Soldier of Fortune Auto Series. It closely resembles Al Mar's SERE model.  Measures 5 1/4" closed and features a 4" Satin Finished Blade made of premium razor sharp ATS-34 stainless. Gray Micarta Handles with a lanyard hole at the base. Titanium liners and hardware. Sliding safety located below the button (Unusual in that he rarely added safeties on his autos).

Blade is etched "BUTCH VALLOTTON RED HILL OR KNIFEMAKER", and features a thumb stud, however this is auto only, so the thumbstud is purely cosmetic. Side opening piece operates via leaf spring. Features Superb Action with a Rock Solid Titanium Liner Lock. Overall length open is 9 1/4". Never used or carried. Late 90's era piece. Heavy duty piece that features superfast action and rock-solid lockup. Designed for heavy duty use. Weighs 6.7 oz.  ... Includes a custom zippered pouch.
