PANZER-MESSER German Made Front Opening Auto by ERN  (Solingen, Germany)

A Rare 1960's era Front Opening Knife from Germany with OD Green Composite handles. This model features a mirror polished 3 1/2" Solingen stainless blade etched "PANZER-MESSER C.FRIEDR.ERN SOLINGEN WALD" on the frontside with a picture of a tank.

Measures 5 1/2" closed. ERN was best known for gravity operated knives. This piece is no comparison to a Microtech or other modern front opener; the blade "shakes, rattles, and  rolls", (like their gravity models), but this was the norm for front openers and gravity fed knives of this era. Extremely Rare 60's era piece...

Very good condition..Operates smoothly without any mal-functions. Blade is very clean with a good etch. . (These are old and rare). Plastic sleeve pictured not included. Priced as high as $250 elsewhere.
