CUSTOM AIK / G DAVID French LAGUIOLE EXTRA CLASSIC Shepherd's Auto with Ancient Mammoth Molar & Hand File Work  

 CUSTOM G. David Auto "Laguiole Extra" features a 3 1/4" mirror polished Turkish clip point blade . Ancient Mammoth Molar Handles, (actual fossilized tooth of the extinct Woolly Mammoth). Rectangular nickel silver release button is hand file worked with a traditional sliding safety below. Side Opening piece operates automatically via a leaf spring. Molar is finished with 24kt gold plated screws.

Measures 4 1/4" closed with Hand file worked brass liners are done in a scalloped pattern; Hand File Worked backspring is beautifully done in a Vine & Roses pattern. 

Often referred to as a classic "Shepherd's Knife", it features very traditional styling from the city of Thiers, (the cutlery capitol of France) , it makes for a superb addition to your international collection. The "fly" or "Bee" emblem located on the spine at the top of the brass bolster is the trademark of quality from this small French company, and are often duplicated on other models, but never matched for quality. Measures 7 3/4" overall open.
