Vintage Early American Schrade Walden Hunters Pride Swing Guard
[WAL-PRIDE]

Original (40's era) Schrade Walden Swing Guard Switchblade "Hunter's Pride" with Black Jigged Bone Handles and Faint Etched Blade

Early Vintage American made model by Schrade-Walden which produced switchblades from (1946-1957). Features Black Imitation Jigged Bone Handles (Delrin), with a Sliding Safety and Polished Nickel Silver Bolsters with steel liners and a Nickel Silver Swing Guard.

Polished Carbon Steel Blade measures 3 5/8". Blade shows a patina with staining on both sides with a very faint etch that reads "HUNTER'S PRIDE". Measures 4 7/8" closed. Tang is marked "SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY".

Unique nickel silver Swing Guard folds down with the blade. Blade has nice lockup. Very little up and down/side to side blade play. Blade shows pitting and scratches on both sides. Some of the pitting on the front side, is heavy.  But the Etch is still faintly readable. Handles look very nice! No rivet cracks. Safety does not work.  Good condition overall=5 on a number scale of 1-10..

It is extremely difficult to find one with a blade etching  (although it is extremely faint.)  (Usually when found this model is beat up because they were heavily used.) Custom zippered pouch included. A must for your vintage collection!
