Vintage Schrade Cut Co Walden NY w/ Peachseed Jigged Bone
[SCC 1613 3/4]

Vintage SCHRADE CUT CO 1940's (Schrade Hunting Knife)  with Peachseed Jigged Bone Handles

In the years following WW2 an increased interest in Paratrooper knives prompted Schrade to make some civilian styled versions of these knives. This model was referred to as #1613 3/4. It was the only model with the unique clip point styled blade which was originally etched "Schrade Hunting Knife" It Measures 4 7/8" closed.  The 3 3/4" Clip point Blade is marked  "SCHRADE CUT. CO.  WALDEN, N.Y." on the front of the tang and "US PATS. DEC. 21,09. SEPT.13,10. JUNE 6,16. " on the backside.

Mirror Polished Carbon Steel Blade is nearly full with some light pitting/staining. Peachseed Jigged Bone Handles show little to no wear with no rivet cracks. Front side is lighter in color than the backside=see pics.. Safety works fine . Blade tip seats below the liners. Action is excellent. Minimal blade movement when open. Normally when found these are really beat up because they were heavily used ..

Unique blade design and peach seed jigged bone handles make this model very collectible (light on one side/darker on the backside). Includes a custom zippered storage pouch. Very Good+ Overall condition.  A nice addition to your vintage collection.
