Vintage Early PRESTO American Made "Double Button" Pattern Switchblade with Onyx Celluloid Handles

PRESTO GEO. SCHRADE CUTLERY BRIDGEPORT CONN. 1929-56 VINTAGE AMERICAN AUTOMATIC KNIFE 3 3/8" DOUBLE BLADE ONYX CELLULOID HANDLES

Vintage PRESTO Double Button switchblade, made from 1929 to 1956, this one features what is referred to as "Onyx Celluliod Handles". (Why they call it Onyx is confusing becuase Onyx is black, and this is more of a irredesient pearl/cream color.) Measures 3 3/8" closed. Overall (with both blades open), is 7".

Tang is of the main blade is marked "PRESTO PAT PEND-G". Back side of tang is Blank. Smaller Blade is marked "G SCHRADE B'PORT,CT". Main Clip Point Blade measures 2". Small blade measures 1 5/8".

Safeties work perfectly. No Blade Peak.. Action is superb and positive. Both blades actually lock without any "bounce back". (Both Blades have slight up and down blade play in the open position). Blades appear to be full with very slight/minor staining on main blade. Onyx Celluloid Handles show slight shrinkage but no rivet cracks. Brass Liners. Carbon Steel Blades are razor sharp. Overall very good condition.

Hard to find PRESTO Double Buttons in such fine condition.. (Outstanding piece fitting for the finest collection). Includes a custom zippered pouch.
