Rare Solingen Germany Made "FA BOWER" Springer w/ Jigged Bone  Handles

Rare piece from the 60 era; this "FA BOWER IMP CO Lever Action Springer features Jigged  Bone Handles with Nickel Silver Bolsters and Steel Liners. (Bottom Bolster is marked "SPRINGER".) Measures 7 3/4" overall open (11cm) with a 3 1/4" Solingen Carbon Steel Clip Point Blade. (Typically they feature a spear point). Operates like the Hubertus; flip the lever forward and it acts as the safety. Press down to activate the blade via leaf spring.

 Tang is marked  ("F A BOWER IMP CO GERMANY") = FA Bower Implement Co was an American  Import company, the knife most likely was made by Anton Wingen of Germany for Bower.  Action and Lockup on this model is excellent! Early production model is in very good condition. This is a vintage piece from the 50's- 60's. Carbon Steel Blade (appears to be full), has been cleaned and polished and shows some staining and pitting. Tang is clean and readable.  No rivet cracks. Bone handles are nice. Some pitting and staining on the center spring.   Highly Recommended for your German or International collection! Includes a custom zippered storage pouch.
