United States NAVY Flag

United States Navy Flag (NAVY)

Measures 3' x 5' and is constructed of super-polyester. Brass Grommets and extra sewing n the fly side.

The U.S. Navy flag history is a long and rich one, comprised of many different flag designs including the Infantry Battalion flag and First Navy Jack flag.

The Department of the Navy Seal, created in 1957, was to serve as the main feature of the official United States Navy flag, adopted two years later. The flag was officially authorized by President Dwight D Eisenhower on April 24, 1959 and was formally introduced to the public on April 30, 1959 at a ceremony at Naval Support Facility Carderock in Maryland.

It is never flown by ships at sea, nor on outdoor flagpoles on naval land installations, and is not used as an identifying mark of U.S. Navy ships and facilities
