European Tactical Auto (Switchblade) (Stasi Copy)

If you've been a customer of ours for a long time you'll recall the East German Secret Police Knife (Stasi) we offered in the mid 90's. It featured Micarta Handles and was marked "ERFURT" on the tang. The Ministerium für Staatssicherheit (Ministry for State Security) knife is now very collectible . 

This is the Italian-made prototype version that was distributed by "Indiana Cutlery" of Italy with Green Aluminum Handles. This piece is completely sterile (no markings).  We also offered these (way back when, in the mid-nineties), and at that time referred to them as the ETA (Euro Tactical Auto). 

It features a Satin Polished 3 1/4" 440B Stainless, wide designed, clip point blade that comes shaving sharp. Measures 4 1/2" closed with a flush mount release brass button located in the center of the handle. This side opener is unique in that it is one of the few models made that uses a spring other than a coil or leaf spring; it is an unusual torsion spring (referred to as a V-Spring), which is very powerful. Ultra heavy-duty design that locks up like a drum. Lockback release. Nice Quality Piece from Italy. Recommended. Includes a Nylon Belt Sheath.
