Rare Early HUBERTUS - SOLINGEN GERMANY "Fish Hammer" "Auto Angler" Lever Action Spring Hammer Switchblade with Early Box!

 Hubertus is by far, the most innovative German manufacturer and is located in Solingen, which has a long history of switchblade (springer) manufacture. Hubertus was most recently purchased by another Solingen Cutlery company called "OTTER". (Otter is known for their "Mercator" Cat Knife.

This model is one of the most unique springer manufactured with a big nickel silver ball . The Fisherman's Auto-Angler or "Spring-Hammer/Knife" by Hubertus-Solingen features a spring activated "Fisherman's Hammer" made of solid nickel-silver. The solid nickel silver"heavy ball" is designed to stun the fish, and keep it from flopping out of your boat, off the dock, etc.  Also featured on the auto-hammer is a bottle opener and fish scaler. .

Features a manual operated main clip point blade (nail nick is on the backside), measures 3 3/4" and features Solingen Stainless steel. Rosewood Handles with nickel silver top and bottom bolsters and a bail hook located at the bottom bolster..Includes a belt/button chain (approx 30"), which attaches to the bail hook, so you won't lose your "auto-hammer" when you lose that "big one that got away".

The Lever located at the top bolster acts as a safety when flipped up, and when flipped down and depressed, activates the "spring-hammer". Very unique piece ! Very limited in availability! Includes original early box. We haven't had one with this early style box in 25-30 years. This is a mint piece. Early production model. 70's era model.
