Rare Early Prod Weidmannsheil Solingen Made Springer w/Stag

This Item Has Been Sold!

This model is similar in construction to the Hubertus brand operating via a leaf spring with lever action. The lever , which when flipped downward springs the blade out, and when the lever is flipped upward acts as a safety.

Weidmannsheil knives are no longer produced. The company produced superb high quality folding knives but as with so many small companies in Solingen, competition from cheap imports, and the switch of the labor force to more high tech jobs forced the closure of the Weidmannsheil factory in 1991.

The Blade is made of Solingen 440 Solingen Stainless and features a unique etching that reads "WILH. WELTERSBACH SOLINGEN-WEST GERMANY ROSTFREI". Made prior to any "weapons laws" that restricted blade lengths on "flick knives" initiated by Germany, this blade measures 3 1/2", and has no "nail nick" in the blade.

Nickel Silver top and bottom bolsters with the bottom bolster stamped "JAGD KONIG", which translated means "King of the Hunt". Measures 4 3/8" closed with GENUINE STAG Handles. Mint Piece. Extremely Hard to find.  Includes a custom zippered pouch. Priced as high as $495 elsewhere.
