This Item Has Been Sold! Vintage Lever Action Auto Made in Mexico

These are becoming increasingly collectible and were at one time widely available across the border,  (Mexico), especially in the 60's and 70's. Lever Action, Side Opening design opens via leaf spring; like the Hubertus design. Pressing down on the lever activates the blade. Flipping up on the lever acts as the safety. 

Handles were often very colorful and this is no exception showing a Golden Dragon with a White Background on the front side and bull fighting scene on the backside overlaid with lucite.

Brass bolsters with a brass bail hook at the base. 3 1/4" Mirror Polished Clip Point Blade is super sharp. . Minor up and down blade play when open. Blade tip is right below the liners. Nice action.  

Designed for the tourist trade, they were immensly popular, as bringing back some type of contraband after visiting Mexico seemed like the fun thing to do. They could be obtained for very little, however very few remain in decent condition. Measures 4 1/8" closed.  Overall very good condition (carbon steel blade shows some light staining). Includes a custom zippred pouch.
