HOGUE USA Elishewitz Design Special Gray Front Opener
[HOGUE-34012]

HOGUE USA MADE Special Gray Front Opener (Auto Open / Auto Retract) Model 34012 Elishewitz Design

HOGUE makes some very nice quality automatics. They are designed by premeire knife maker Allen Elishewitz and made entirely in the USA. This was Hogue's first generation Front Opener and really didn't have a name except "HOGUE FRONT OPENER" (Model 34012). They later started calling this model the "EXPLOIT" and/or "COMPOUND"  and added a Tanto version. Regardless of the name, this front opener is excellent quality and is designed to be used. Hogue also manufactures the H&K and Sig Sauer Line of knives.

Features lightweight Special Gray anodized aluminum handles with black hardware (screws), and  Features a 3 1/2" Stonewash Finished Clip Point Blade made of premium CPM-154 Stainless.   Stainless Pocket Clip (Tip Down), on the backside. Measures 5 1/8" closed. Overall open is 8 1/2". Convenient non-slip grooved slide release has just the right "trigger pressure" that creates a built in safety. Gently Contoured handles with a wide body design that fits your hand like a glove; a very nice natural feel.

Most similar to Microtech's Combat Troodon, but priced more than $100 less. Hogue's front openers have made a positive impact in the American front opener world. Highly Recommended. Serialized on the backside with an extra low # E0000049. (that's 5 zeros in front of the 49; Hogue was more than a little optimistic thinking they were going to make 100,000 units). This piece is as new/mint. Includes box w/ AIK storage pouch.
