Vintage American Colonial "Shur-Snap" "JUMBO JACK" Switchblade

Colonial was located in Providence, Rhode Island, and was formed by the Paolantonio brothers who originally were cutlers from Frosolone, Italy. This vintage 1950's era American made piece features a 3 3/4" Polished Clip Point Carbon Steel Blade 

Features Brown Composition Handles with Brass Liners with metal bolsters. Top bolsters have built in finger guards. Measures 5" Closed. Sliding safety works fine. Tang is marked "SHUR SNAP COLONIAL PROV USA". Overall very good condition. This was Colonial's largest Switchblade model.

Blade is full and shows pitting. Blade tip seats below the brass liners. Action is good, lockup is excellent, (near rock-solid). Handles show some slight shrinkage. Price is right. Much more difficult to find the JUMBO JACK model than the other SHUR SNAP models..Includes a custom zippered pouch.
