CUSTOM AIK / HUBERTUS (12cm) 7 3/4" Open SLIM JIM "W.Germany"   Marked Springer with Crosscut Mammoth Ivory, Unique Abalone Shell Inlay, & Hand File Work

The Solingen,Germany made Hubertus Operates by pressing down on the lever located at the top bolster which activates the internal leaf spring. Flipping up on the lever acts as the safety.

This model is called the "Slim Jim" and is popular in that the 3 3/8" spear point blade does not feature a "nail nick" in the blade; (cut-out in the blade),  which adds to it's sleek good looks. Features Crosscut Mammoth Ivory Handles with Abalone Shell Inlays in the center of the handle on both sides. Center Spring (directly below the lever), is mirror polished and Hand File Worked.

Nickel silver top bolsters with Hand File Worked Brass liners. Early "W. Germany" Blade Etch. This early model has a slightly longer blade and the bolsters have a radius to them (slightly rounded), (rather than flat like other models). Measures 4 1/2" closed. Exclusive piece from AIK's custom shop. Features superb action with rock-solid lockup.
