Vintage 80's era Schrade Folding Hunter Liner Lock Knife "Scrimshaw Series" TURTLE SCRIMSHAW with Special "Indian Styled" Beaded Leather Sheath

 Vintage 80's era Schrade "Scrimshaw Series " Folding Hunter with composition (Imitation Ivory or ivroid), machine scrimshawed handles. Schrade was one of the largest manufacturers of pocket knives back in the 70's and 80's. Nearly everyone owned one of their pocket-knives.

 Measures 5 1/4" closed. Imitation Ivory Handles are Scrimshawed (machine) that feature a TURTLE Scene on the front and back sides .Nickel Silver Top and Bottom Bolsters. Blade is 1095 Carbon Tool Steel and the steel is known to take and hold a superior edge. Blade locks up like a drum via the brass liner. The vintage Schrade knives are famous for their edge holding quality. Blades have nice "walk and talk"= which means in knife lingo the blades have strong backsprings and snap when closed = a traditional sign of quality.

  Mint piece with original Box. Plastic box insert is cracked and the cover shows some discoloration from age deterioration. (Knife has Never been used, carried or sharpened). Excellent example for your collection. This was made by the original Schrade factory which has since closed and is a part of knife history. The leather sheath features unique beadwork to replicate Native American construction.  (The rights to the "Schrade" name has since been sold.)
