PROTECH Early Production Mini O.T. F. Front "Calif Legal" Front Opener with Limited "Jazz" Handles and 2 Tone Mirror Polished Chisel Ground Blade

This was Protech's first front opening model. Made from 1999-2001, it is simply called the "MINI O.T.F." It was later replaced with the Tantilla Model which operates the same way.  This model which is called a "single action front opener" is based on similar models once manufactured by Dalton, Paragon and SWAT Industries.

PROTECH took the best from these companies and improved upon them. This special model features Limited "JAZZ" Multi Colored anodized aluminum handles with a narrow Two Tone Finished Chisel Ground flat on one side), 1 15/16" ATS-34 stainless blade. (Early Protech models featured  ATS-34 Stainless, and they later switched to 154-CM Stainless). 

It measures just 3 1/4" closed. Unlike the Tantilla the Mini O.T.F. does not feature a safety, but instead has a recessed button. It has superb action and excellent lockup. Since this is a "single Action Front Opener" it opens simply by pressing the button, but to close it features a slide release mechanism, that you just simply slide downward to reset the blade while pressing the button at the same time. Measures 5 1/4" overall open. USA Made. These early models did not feature a pocket clip. Extremely hard model to find. Excellent Condition.
