The AIK Vindicator
By John Isham

I received my Vindicator about 10 days ago and have to say that if you’re a fan of the Brown Recluse, you should order one of these immediately— Adams hit the bullseye again.

This knife is pure understated elegance. The design is so pleasingly simple that it makes me think of writing by an author who is a master of the economy of words— there is nothing “extra” here, nothing which is not absolutely necessary, hence its elegance.

Build-wise we have the Master-Craftsmanship we’ve become accustomed to with the Brown Recluse. The same perfect scales-to-bolsters fit and the heel bolster that looks as if it’s a single piece of polished steel.

Also, as you’d expect, everything is perfectly centered and in lockup the knife feels like holding a billet of steel in your hand. I do wish that it had a 5 mm back spring, kick spring and blade, but having said that, I have to say that the action is very, very good; I admit that 5 mm springs & blades are a thing with me, as is really fast action. (Just one of the reasons I love the Brown Recluse so much.)

With The Vindicator AIK has another Instant Classic on its hands. Five Stars!
